Root canal treatment services are meant to relieve dental pain and save your teeth. Patients typically need a root canal when there is inflammation or infection in the roots of a tooth. This may occur as the result of a deep cavity, traumatic injury, cracked teeth, chipped teeth, or dental procedures near the pulp where a new filling or crown has been placed.

Root Canal Procedure
During root canal therapy, endodontic specialists—who specialize in gum and internal tissue treatment—carefully removes the pulp inside the tooth, cleans, disinfects, and shapes the root canals. Finally, they will place a filling to seal the internal space.
Symptoms that may indicate you need a root canal therapy include:
- pain or sensitivity to hot and/or cold
- spontaneous pain
- pain in response to pressure or biting
- dull ache
- sharp shooting pain
- facial swelling
